Commercial mortgages frequently asked questions
Can Liberty arrange construction loans?
No. We do not offer construction loans.
Can Liberty provide a loan on a property in my location?
Liberty Commercial provides loans on commercial properties right across Australia in both metropolitan and regional centres. To discuss the specific location of your property, please call Liberty on 13 11 80.
How long will it take for my application to be approved?
For commercial mortgages, in almost every case, we can provide an indicative response within 24 hours once an application is lodged with us.
What fees are involved?
Your Liberty Commercial Mortgage has no ongoing fees and no annual review fees. It’s a true ‘set and forget’ facility. At Liberty we pride ourselves on our ability to review each application individually and offering the right product for your particular circumstances. Fees may apply when setting up your loan and will consist of fees charged by Liberty and fees imposed by external parties such as government. These fees vary depending on the type of product and your particular situation, but may include:
- One-off application fee
- Mortgage stamp duty
- Document preparation fee
- Search costs
- Solicitor settlement fee
What is the interest rate that will apply to my loan?
Interest rates are based on the specific situation of the individual borrower and the type of loan required. Our rates start at some of the most competitive in the industry and are adjusted for each applicant according to the credit risk they present. A customised quote is given with all conditional loan approvals.
Does Liberty have branches?
No. Traditional branch networks are costly to maintain and often these costs are passed on to the customer. Once a loan is settled, automatic repayments are transferred from your bank account and a dedicated customer service team is available online and by phone to assist with any additional needs.
Does Liberty have an Internal Dispute Resolution process?
Yes. We have an Internal Dispute Resolution process. If you experience an issue that needs resolving, you can access Liberty's Internal Dispute Resolution process by sending an email to idr@liberty.com.au or by calling our Senior Complaints Officer on (03) 8635 8888.
