To buy property with an SMSF

image

Recent changes in superannuation laws have allowed Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) to borrow money to help buy investment properties. As well as allowing you to vary your SMSF portfolio, you could also benefit from available tax concessions, such as lower concessional tax rates on rental income earned from an investment property, and on any capital gain on the sale of the property.

Loans for SMSFs

You may not have enough funds in your SMSF to enable you to buy an investment property outright, in which case you’ll need to take out a loan. Superannuation laws are complex and the consequences of not complying with them are serious, which is why it is a good idea to choose a loan that is specifically designed to combine with an SMSF for the purpose of investing in property. Liberty’s SuperCredit loan is a ready-made loan that can easily be combined with an SMSF to buy investment property. And if you don’t have an SMSF set up, don’t worry; we can assist you with the establishment of your SMSF as part of the SuperCredit process.

We think this might be just what you need
