Case study

Refinancing

Jeremy had been a plumber for 5 years and decided to become his own boss. In June 2007 he bought a Tim’s Plumbing franchise and business was really starting to pick up. To assist with buying stock and supplies Jeremy approached his bank of 10 years to get a top up on his home loan. This loan was declined as he had only been in business for a short time. Upon advice from his accountant Jeremy sought out a mortgage broker who submitted the loan to Liberty. Liberty reviewed his previous 2 years tax assessments as a PAYG employee and obtained a copy of the business plan Jeremy’s accountant had prepared. Using all this information Liberty was able to approve a loan for Jeremy which has enabled his business to grow and prosper at a rapid rate.
