Health and family support

  • We believe in levelling the playing field when it comes to parental leave, and we offer 13 weeks of paid maternity leave with the option to have it paid out over a 26-week period. We also offer primary caregivers up to 52 weeks of leave, with the option to request a further 52 weeks leave. Plus, we maintain superannuation contributions for the first 52 weeks. This policy also covers include our inclusive family leave options such as adoption, surrogacy, foster care and special parental leave.

  • We understand the challenges that those undergoing fertility treatment may face, and we provide five days of paid leave per year for treatments such as egg retrieval or embryo transfers. We also offer two days of paid leave for those supporting a partner.

  • We’re proud to support transgender and gender diverse staff, and we offer flexible support for team members seeking to affirm their gender. We recognise that the process is different for everyone and provide up to 10 days of special leave to support those during their affirmation.

  • We are proud to provide our Liberty parents and guardians with the option to bring their little ones to work with them during the school holidays for the KidsCo program – providing childcare and education in the convenience of their own workplace.

  • One of the ways we help our team members to stay healthy is through our comprehensive health and wellbeing subsidies. We offer discounted fitness and wellness memberships or subscriptions plus subsidised private health insurance with further discounts available through Medibank Private.

  • Nobody likes feeling unwell, so to help our staff fight off the flu, we offer fully funded vaccinations just before the beginning of the flu season each year.

  • Another way we help our staff stay healthy is by providing the option to participate in confidential health assessments, involving a 30-minute one-on-one consultation with a qualified health professional.

  • We offer a personal coaching and counselling service that includes confidential, short-term support for a variety of work-related and personal issues that may be affecting staff at work or at home. We take mental health seriously and have trained Mental Health First Aid Officers available to provide support as needed.

  • Learning is one of Liberty’s fundamental values, and we proudly encourage staff to further their learning and development. This includes support for postgraduate studies as well as payment of professional membership fees.

Helping staff get financial

  • As a corporate partner of the Metlink Commuter Club, Liberty provides significant staff discounts on the purchase of yearly commuter tickets for Metro, Melbourne’s train, tram and bus network.

  • Liberty can help staff to manage the annual cost of their car registration, covering the up-front annual cost with the invoice amount deducted from their salary over the following six months.

  • It’s important to be protected, which is why we provide Liberty staff with a range of discounted insurance opportunities. These include LFI home and contents, motor, landlords, and travel insurance.

  • Liberty staff are provided with the ability to contribute extra to their superannuation fund through salary sacrificing. And, they can also salary sacrifice the cost of work-related equipment purchases.

  • We’re proud to offer a significant range of financial subsidies to help our team members improve their overall wellbeing. These include contributions towards their private health insurance and their gym or health club membership.

  • Another way we help our staff save is by offering novated leasing. By choosing to salary package with a car, Liberty employees can pay a portion of their vehicle finance and running costs using pre-tax dollars.

  • Liberty staff members can claim a five percent discount on desktops, laptop computers, printers and projector equipment from Dell Computers.

  • Our community involvement program Liberty Lend-A-Hand offers staff the opportunity to participate and contribute in activities to help our community partners. We offer three days of paid leave per year to volunteer with one of our Liberty Lend-A-Hand partner charities, plus one day of paid volunteer leave with an approved charity of your choice. We also provide two days of paid volunteer leave with an emergency service organisation you’re already a member of.

  • We know our staff work hard, which is why we reward them with a visit from the 3 Minute Angels who provide relaxing neck and shoulder massages to all staff on a quarterly basis.
