Our recruitment process

At Liberty, we’re committed to finding the right people to help us grow our business and solidify our standing as Australia’s leading free-thinking lender.

Are you who we’ve been looking for?

Finding free thinkers to join our Liberty community and ensure that it is the right fit for all parties is something we take very seriously. That is why our interview process is a little different to what you might have experienced in the past.

  • Rather than a rigid, formal interview, we adopt a three-stage interview process in which we strive to really get to know our candidates. And, this offers candidates the chance to learn more about life at Liberty.

These informal discussions take place with two leaders per round from different areas of the business and allow plenty of scope for candidates to ask questions along the way.

Depending on the position you are applying for, we may ask you to complete a short exercise that takes you through real life scenarios of working at Liberty.

We want people of all gender identities to thrive in our workforce. To find out more about our inclusive recruitment processes, please reach out to our Transgender and Gender Diverse Support Officer, Joanna Karanikos on (03) 8635 8813.

  • Our teams are comprised of people from all walks of life – but what we have in common is that we are all free thinkers, and we care about our customers. We’ve worked hard to create a culture that fosters innovation and inclusivity, and by onboarding individuals who share in our goals, the stronger our company becomes.

So, if you’re eager to learn new skills, passionate about helping more people get financial, and your values align with our own, we want to hear from you.

  • If you have been shortlisted for an interview – congratulations! We look forward to meeting you to find out more about what you can bring to the table. To prepare, we recommend reviewing your past achievements and employment history, and giving some thought to your goals for the future.

We also enjoy hearing about what you know about Liberty and why you’d like to join the team, so we recommend doing some research and come prepared with questions of your own. You may even want to put together some samples of work to showcase your skills and talents.
